Sanja Fabrio

Sanja is Business Development director at SwissDeCode, a Switzerland-based company at the forefront of food quality, authentication and compliance, offering an innovative technology that is changing the way food companies test and certify plants, raw materials and finished products. Sanja’s current focus is on brining DNAFoil CSSD rapid test to the successful commercialization and a meaningful integration in CSSD monitoring and prevention services. DNAFoil CSSD is a DNA based test detecting cocoa swollen shoot virus in asymptomatic leaves that is simple and fast to administer by non-scientific staff and can be performed in-situ on farms, plant nurseries or clonal gardens.

Combining 30 years of executive leadership in general management and public affairs from Fortune 100 multinational, innovative startups, and academia, Sanja brings to the table broad expertise in managing international market operations, leading multicultural teams, and engaging high-level internal and external stakeholders. Throughout her professional career Sanja closely interacted with and ensured actionable dialogue among businesses, governments, think tanks and academic institutions as she strongly believes that innovation through collaboration is a key ingredient for a progressive society. Sanja holds a BSc degree in Economics & International Trade from the University J.J.Strossmayer and an MBA from SDA Bocconi.
