Rizal was the Country Director of The Nature Conservancy – Indonesia Program since 2012 to 2020 and Chairman of the Board of Management of Yayasan Konservasi Alam Nusantara since 2015 to 2020. Previously, he worked with the Putera Sampoerna Foundation, the largest private foundation in Indonesia that provides access to, and quality of education as Head of Partnership. Prior to joining The Conservancy, he was the Senior Vice President at Bank BTPN, a bank that focuses in empowering the mass market and majority-owned by US-based private equity firm TPG Capital, where he designed, developed and implemented successful bank-wide integrated corporate social responsibility (CSR) and creating shared value (CSV) programs that enhances value for customers and employees in health & wellness, entrepreneurial capacity-building and training with the goals to improve customer’s businesses, livelihood and health, thus creating the bank’s distinct value proposition. Rizal is passionate in social development, economic and ecological impact at scale through the creation of shared value, social responsibility and sustainability, balanced with pragmatic business perspective and organizational excellence.
