Mariam Dao Gabala

Chairperson of the International Supervisory Board, Solidaridad

Mariam Dao Gabala is the Chairperson of the International Supervisory Board of Solidaridad. She is Ivorian, an economist, development banker, and board member of various firms and banks. She is member of the Senate of Côte d’Ivoire.

During 20 years, Madam DAO was OIKO CREDIT Regional Director for West Africa (a finance development bank) where she successfully faced the challenge of supporting growth and microfinance of industry, socially responsible SMEs, cooperatives in rural areas, and women’s associations.

She conducted the first activities of OIKO CREDIT through the opening of offices on the continent. Through the soilidaridad network, she is bridging the public and private sectors and other stakeholders for change in a more viable agriculture.

Madam DAO Gabala is also acknowledged for important her role and contribution for sustainable development, youth entrepreneurship, financial inclusion of the poorest, especially women. She is very active in women development leadership at every level of the African society (politics, economics, culture…). She is the President of the Coalition of Female Leaders of Côte d’Ivoire.
