Assata Doumbia

Assata Doumbia is the President of ECAM, an Ivorian cocoa farmer cooperative. She has an engineering degree in International Trade, and personally produces 15 ha of cocoa and 4 ha of rubber. Ms. Doumbia began her cocoa career in 1997 as Assistant to the Commercial Director of the Abidjan Côte d’Ivoire Coffee and Cocoa Export Corporation. She continued as a sales representative for Balmac in Abidjan and joined ECAM in 2007.

In 2014, she received 1st prize as the Best Manager of a Coffee-Cocoa Cooperative in Côte d’Ivoire, and in 2015 was recognized with the Best NAWA Regional Cooperative Award.
