Key Activities:
- Establish and maintain field trials using cocoa varieties exchanged among the INGENIC Asia Pacific Working Group Members.
- Evaluate material to identify high-yielding varieties that are resistant to cocoa pod borer, vascular streak dieback, and black pod.
Significance: Varieties that are high-yielding and resistant to pests and diseases common in the Southeast Asia region will be available to researchers and farmers.
