Research Programs

Along with public and private sector donors and implementing institutions, the World Cocoa Foundation supports and funds a variety of research programs essential to improving the wellbeing of cocoa farmers and their families. In addition, many of the Foundation’s regional programs incorporate a research component with the active participation of farmers.

Additionally, the World Cocoa Foundation supports the Cocoa Borlaug Fellows Program which provides opportunities for cocoa scientists from producing countries to complete fellowships in the US, as well as the Cocoa of Excellence: Promoting Diverse, High Quality Origins Project.
