Independent Verification
The entire cocoa certification process – data collection, reporting, and remediation efforts – is to be independently verified. This step will ensure that the process is credible and that the publicly available reporting accurately represents labor conditions on the farm.
Efforts are underway to identify credible “third-party” individuals or organizations with the expertise to undertake this activity and do so in an independent manner.
